“Forever and Never” written by Dante A Orange
I am a filmmaker, based in Illinois with an ever-growing portfolio. My love for film is tempered with the reality of making a living. Originally from the Southside of Chicago, I received my high school diploma from Dunbar Vocational Career Academy, where I studied digital media production for 3 of my 4 years. I currently attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where I major in Radio- Television with a minor in Cinema. During my time at SIUC, I have been involved in several different campus organizations and assisted fellow students on many projects. In 2015, I won the Richard Blumenberg Screenwriting Award for one of my works entitled Street Life – an urban crime drama.
In addition, I have made finalist rounds in multiple ScreenCraft competitions, and my work has been praised by senior ScreenCraft readers, such as Director of Development - Mr. Cameron Cubbison.
I plan to someday launch Block 99 Productions, a film production company named after my childhood street. One of the most important goals of Block 99 Productions is to create films and television programs that will uplift the human spirit.

"In the spirit of “Trainwreck” and “About Alex”, “Forever and Never” is a rollicking celebration of friendship, love, and family - centered around Amanda Cutler. A joke-crackin’, back-sassin’ waitress plagued by a childhood trauma carried well into adulthood. Driven to the brink with grief and bitterness, Amanda turns to drugs to cope with the pain but finds solace in her friendship with Derek: an altruistic man with nerdy interests. However, when her current lover’s own addiction takes control of his judgment - Amanda flees to Derek's place where they learn to coexist – with hilarious and heartwarming results. With help from their quirky friends and a former school rival, Amanda takes the steps to re-build her life and in doing so, romances bloom and old resentments come to a head teaching them all that the road to happy endings is full of bumps and turns with plenty of laughs along the way."
